Today, we take a moment from the weekend activities to come together as a community to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Memorial Day is a time to mourn and remember the protectors of our country, who defended our freedoms at home and abroad.
These heroes left a legacy of duty and courage, and their strength and sacrifice can never be fully repaid.
We also recognize the families they left behind, the Gold Star families, who carry the weight of that sacrifice every day. Their resilience, dignity, and continued contributions to our communities are a powerful reminder of what service truly means.
Please take a moment to reflect and give thanks for those who made freedom possible. Let’s also teach our children these important values so our liberties will be cherished and protected by future generations.
