Remembering September 11

September 11, 2001, left a permanent mark on our hearts.
Most of us remember exactly where we were the moment the world changed.
Today, we remember and honor the thousands of lives lost in the terrorist attacks on that tragic day. We pause to reflect on how blessed we are to live in this great country, and we remember that what binds us together as Americans will always be stronger than our differences.
It is unbelievable to think that it has been over 20 years since the terrorist attacks shook New York City, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and our nation to its core, forever changing us.
The bravery and resilience of the American spirit shone through as first responders and civilians sacrificed their safety to help their community and their country.
Even though we continue to look to the future, the past has important lessons. That is why we must remain vigilant when it comes to remembering the impact that one day had on all of us.
It is now our responsibility to pass along the heroic stories and tragic memories of this day to future generations so we will truly never forget 9/11.
