Senator Seyarto Honors Charlotte Watroba-Knapp as the 32nd District Woman of the Year

I am proud to honor Charlotte Watroba-Knapp of Yorba Linda as the 2026 Woman of the Year for our 32nd Senate District.

Every March, in celebration of Women’s History Month, the California Legislative Women’s Caucus invites State Senators and Assemblymembers to select an outstanding woman from their district to recognize for her significant contributions to her community.

Charlotte Watroba-Knapp has devoted more than 50 years to volunteer service and community leadership. She began her journey in community involvement with the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce before expanding her efforts to numerous local organizations and service initiatives.

A member of the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club since 1992, Charlotte served as Club President and has helped coordinate countless service projects benefiting both the local community and international causes. She has volunteered regularly at local food banks and supported the club’s annual Lobsterfest fundraiser, which raises more than $100,000 each year for scholarships and community nonprofits.

Charlotte has also played a major leadership role for more than 35 years with the Littlest Angel Guild, an organization supporting CHOC Children’s Hospital. Through organizing major fundraising events and mentoring new members, she has helped raise significant support for children’s healthcare in Southern California.

Charlotte’s commitment to service also extends to her faith community at Messiah Lutheran Church, where for nearly 40 years she has volunteered teaching Bible classes, preparing meals for church programs, and supporting community gatherings.

Charlotte Watroba-Knapp represents the very best of community service and volunteer leadership. For more than five decades, she has dedicated her time, energy, and compassion to helping others. Her commitment to supporting families, improving children’s health, and serving those in need reflects the spirit of service that strengthens our communities and has made a lasting impact throughout the 32nd District and beyond.
